A Sponsored walk from Ingoldmells to Skegness in FANCY DRESS is taking place tonight.

The walk will take place from 6pm from the Tesco Express store on Queensway, Ingoldmells, found at PE25 1NS.

The fundraising walk will end at the Tesco Supermarket in Skegness off Richmond Drive.

The local community radio station need our help to raise £799 to fit a heating system to the County Linx Radio Club Bus, which supports community events across East Lindsey, lincolnshire.

Located at Irby in the Marsh, when not broacasting as a mobile unit, this crowdfunding fundraiser, found online by clicking here, once target is reached, will be used to fund a fitted heating system to make broadcasting in the winter months more comfortable for both the team and the community that use it.

A total of £799 is needed for a Webasto Heater Air Top 2000 heating system which would supply the required level of warmth required to continue the stations commitment to local community radio.

County Linx Radio is a community project run by volunteers which supports community events across East Lindsey & Lincolnshire.

The Club bus supports community groups and organisations throughout the year offering music, stage, PA equipment and Broadcasts, offering mostly free support at events and fundraising days.

During the winter months, most of their bookings are educational; offering computer training to mature residents in rural villages or offering media access to youth organisations and schools etc.

It is at this time that the need for heating is most important as the bus accommodates up to eight seated students at any one time, including access for one disabled user and can feel very cold especially for the more senior members of any group.

As a not for profit group, run by volunteers, you can appreciate that the funding for this necessary heating will take some time for them to achieve.

So, if you see some strange sights from Ingoldmess to Skegness, you know its all for a good cause –  please stop and donate and help your local community radio station!

At time of going ‘to press’ the crowdfunder currently sits at just 3 % of target at £30, please chip in, every little helps and help Sammy and the team smash their target, come on guys!

Organisers thank in advance for any financial support that can be given to the project.

Why not take the time time to look at their webpage, where you can see photos and videos of their past community events, or by visiting their Facebook Page.
