The Lincolnshire Coastal Destination BID (Business Improvement District) has unveiled the fresh new logo that will take the company forward:

Look out for the Visit Lincs Coast branding appearing throughout the stunning wild coast of Lincolnshire, as the BID team work to promote this beautiful area of the UK, covering some 22 miles of coastline; providing a distinct and strong identity for the Lincolnshire coast to raise the profile of the area and its businesses nationally and internationally.

The Lincs Coast BID was voted in by the majority of some 1100+ businesses across the BID area from Friskney in the South to Tetney in the North, encompassing the popular resort destinations of Skegness, Ingoldmells, Chapel St Leonards, Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe and will generate a £3 million-pound investment during the next 5 years.

Four key action areas that businesses have identified are:

Marketing & Promotion; Environmental Enhancement; Events and also Business Support & Networking.

Chair of the BID Board, Stuart Hardy said:

“The Lincolnshire coastline has so much untapped potential and the BID will enable us to extend our marketing and promotion into new target areas, improve signage, information and offer additional business support. It is an exciting opportunity for all sectors to position ourselves as an all year-round destination that we cannot afford to miss out on.”

Project Co-ordinator for the BID, Lee Roberts, has already working on key areas of business support, with the first succesful Business Breakfast, with a networking meeting held at Gibraltar Point on Thursday morning (November 30), where around 4o businesses turned up to discuss future plans for the BID.

Further opportunities for networking will be scheduled in during the coming months at various locations throughout the BID area.

BID Project Co-ordinator Lee Roberts said:

“Several funding applications for a wide variety of projects and events have already been received for consideration by the Board of Directors and the BID will be working to support not only existing events but working with key partners to introduce new events along our natural, wild coastline.”

Plans for 2018 are well under way and the BID team have been meeting with many of the businesses to look at options for events and promotion, one of which – by very popular request, will bring the return of the weekly Summer firework displays, not only to Skegness, but Mablethorpe also.

The BID website and social media platforms are soon to be launched, so make sure you keep up to date with future plans and more announcements for 2018 and beyond coming soon.
