SKEGNESS Town begin their new era in the Northern Counties East League with a trip to Yorkshire club Selby Town.

The season kicks-off on August 4 and Martyn Bunce’s men have been presented with a tough baptism at the club who finished seventh last season.

Three days later the Lilywhites are back in action when they travel to Shirebrook Town for a 7.45pm kick against a side who finished fifth, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier Division.

The seasiders’ first home game in their new league will be on Saturday, August 11 when FC Bolsover visit the Vertigo Stadium for a 3pm kick-off.

They then host Grimsby Borough, who finished third last season, on Tuesday August 14.

Barnsley-based Worsbrough Bridge Athletic are the visitors to the Vertigo on Saturday August 18, while on Tuesday August 21 they complete a quartet of home games with the visit of Winterton Rangers.

The Lilywhites are due to wrap up their first season back in the NCEL with a home game against Shirebrook Town on Saturday April 27.
